CABBAGE ISLAND: Off the northeast coast of Tumbo Island, just east of Saturna Island, Cabbage Island Marine Provincial Park offers sheltered anchorage and a sandy beach for swimming and relaxation. Open all year, Cabbage Island has six wilderness walk-in sites, picnic area, pit toilets, swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking areas. Fees are collected May to September.
GETTING THERE: Boat access only.

DISCOVERY ISLAND: Two nautical miles east of Victoria, Discovery Island Marine Provincial Park is very basic. There is no sheltered anchorage and the park is undeveloped. Open all year, fees are collected from May to September. There are a number of walk-in camping sites, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and hiking. Fires are prohibited.
GETTING THERE: Boat access only.

D'ARCY PARK: A small densely forested island in Haro Strait, east of Victoria, D'arcy Island Provincial Park is undeveloped and offers no sheltered anchorage. Fires are prohibited. Open May to October, fees are collected until September. The island does have a picnic area, pit toilets, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and a walking trail. NOTE: Little D'Arcy Island to the east is private property. Don't land there.
GETTING THERE: Boat access only.

DIONISIO POINT: At the northeast tip of Galiano Island, Dionisio Point Provincial Park overlooks Porlier Pass. Sandy beaches and rock headlands are backed by forest. The park is undeveloped but there are opportunities for wilderness camping (30 walk-in sites), pit toilets, fishing, boating, wildlife viewing and scuba diving. Fires are prohibited. Water is from a handpump. Open all year, fees are collected from May to September.

ISLE-de-LIS: A small natural area, Isle-de-Lis Marine Provincial Park is on Rum Island, east of Sidney, in Haro Strait. The park has three wilderness/walk-in campsites, pit toilets, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and a hiking trail. Open all year, fees are charged from May to September.
GETTING THERE: Boat access only.

PIRATES COVE: A sheltered anchorage with dinghy dock, Pirates Cove Marine Provincial Park is on the southeast tip of DeCourcy Island off Nanaimo. The park has 12 walk-in campsites, drinking water, pit toilets, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and walking trails. Open all year, fees are charged from May to September.

PRINCESS MARGARET: Given to Her Royal Highness, Princess Margaret, during a visit to British Columbia in 1958, Princess Margaret Marine Provincial Park is actually the whole of Portland Island, just north of Swartz Bay on the Saanich Peninsula. The princess gave the island back a few years later when it was designated a marine park and named in her honor. The park, open all year, has five walk-in campsites, picnic/day use, drinking water, pit toilets, swimming, fishing and hiking trails that circle and criss-cross the island. Fees are charged from May to September.
GETTING THERE: Boat access only.

WALLACE ISLAND: A low-lying island in Trincomali Channel between Galiano Island and the north tip of Saltspring Island, Wallace Island Marine Provincial Park offers wilderness camping, picnicking, drinking water, pit toilets and hiking trails. Open all year, fees are charged from May to September. There are docking facilities at Conover Cove. Fires are prohibited. The island also has two private properties. Please stay off them.
GETTING THERE: Boat accessible only, Wallace Island should be approached with caution due to numerous reefs and shoals. The entrance to Conover Cove is shallow at low tide and care must be taken to avoid grounding.

WHALEBOAT ISLAND: At the south end of Ruxton Island, off Nanaimo, Whaleboat Island Marine Provincial Park is a small rocky undeveloped park. The park is popular with kayakers.
