We Canadians want to express our heartfelt condolences in regards to Sept.11. We are the same peoples, joined at the hip and divided only by a thin, imaginary line. May God help heal our wounds and renew our faith for the future. When you do come for a visit, may your spirit be uplifted and restored.

Vancouver Island Fishing

Saltwater - Vancouver Island first became famous for its incredible saltwater fishing. From mighty chinook salmon to gigantic halibut, there is something to challenge even the most ardent angler.
Fresh Water - It's a well kept secret often overshadowed by the more popular saltwater fishing, but Vancouver Island has numerous lakes and rivers teeming with various kinds of trout including cutthroat, rainbow and steelhead.
Fly Fishing - There are both fresh and saltwater flyfishing hotspots scattered throughout Vancouver Island. Click on the link to find out where these hotspots are and what they're biting on.
Guidelines - Important info here on what you need to know before wetting your line.

Vancouver Island
Whale Watching

From the seemingly precarious perch of an ocean kayak or from the comfort of one of the many whale-watching guide boats, opportunities abound to view these giants of the sea in their natural environment.

Visiting Vancouver Island parks means experiencing the most rugged and untouched wilderness areas in all the world. From marine parks with abundant sealife to scenic alpine lakes atop beautiful mountains, the opportunities for exploration are endless. Some of these parks are actually located right in the island communities while others are more remote and can require considerable effort to get there, but the reward for your efforts will soon be apparent.
