Great, You've Found Us. We have developed this 'Member's Only Page' so we can keep you, Our advertisers advised on developments on our web pages and let you see what we are doing to promote your business on the world wide web. As of March 1, 2000 and since we went online April 1, 1998 we have had over 4,100,000 hits at our site from over 93,000 visitors. Pretty good but not as good as we'd like it. We want a lot more visitors and a way more enquiries for information from our site. We are planning to achieve this in a number of different ways. - through the clever submissions to search engines - by world wide news releases - by using an inventive linking programs - by using contests, bumper stickers etc. to promote the site worldwide. - by giving the people what they want, in a timely organized fashion. We want to help make the Island's Tourism business grow. If we can help make it easier for people to find out about the island, - fantastic. If through promotion we can keep one more person employed, longer or earlier throughout the season so they can support their family, then I'll feel we've done a good job.

for putting on the wall) every month, it encourages our readers to sign our guestbook and

in the package we send them we also include bumper stickers to put on their rear car windows to promote our site around the

the world geneva, london, seattle, vancouver, los angeles ... they'll be everywhere... why they've even been seen in the Kootenays, Prince George, Kelowna, Penticton, Vancouver and all over the Island. If you'd like one for your car just let us know, we'll get one to you. We of course have them on our cars, and it's amazing to see a car arrive behind you and watch them mouth the spelling of www.vancouverislandabound.com and find out what it says, we hope by having them do this, those that have computers will rush on home and type it in and find our site and start planning a trip to Vancouver Island. we will be using the new Oceanside Route signs on all the
communities that are on 19A. Look for them on our website in the near future. We are sure
these good looking signs will really help travelers find your town and all that your
community has to offer.
